Why do we do it?

We believe we have seen something. We want to show it to others.

Show and tell. Story. Image. Teaching. Impression. Movement.

Two seasons of short films that provide a glimpse and invite a response.

Come and see.

What is Glimpse

Adam Clewer and Mikey Oldfield are the creators of Glimpse. The idea started in 2018 and has grown into an exciting series with multiple people helping in different ways. We wouldn’t be able to grow without the help of script editors, fundraisers and film crew. Churches, individuals and organizations have given generously to finance the production of Glimpse. Glimpse is a free resource for everybody, and no profit is made. Everyone involved gives their time because they believe that people will see a glimpse of God through these videos.

An episode idea could start at any point, when Adam notices something. Often these are seemingly ordinary moments - a balloon floating in the wind, some words on a banknote, a sign painted on the floor. Then God speaks and the ideas flow.

When Adam has a collection of 6 ideas, he and Mikey get together and create the films. Show and tell.

God can and does speak to anyone. He loves to reveal himself in subtle ways. In an episode, Adam will share something he’s noticed and what he saw in that moment. But the invitation is for you to see for yourself…

What do you notice?
What stuck?
What is God saying to you?
What should you do about it?
Who will you tell?

Adam Clewer - writer, presenter

Adam is a communicator at heart. Whether it’s a magazine article about fishing, a church sermon, a Glimpse episode or you bump into him at Chick-fil-A.

Originally from England, Adam now lives with his wife and 2 daughters in Massachusetts, USA, where he leads South Shore Community Church. He’s a keen carp-fisher, swimmer and loves to fire up the grill whatever the season.

Mikey Oldfield - producer, cinematographer

Mikey wanted to become a pilot, but (after a nudge from his mum) pursued a career in the film industry. Since 2011, Mikey has run a production company called SixthDay Film. He specialises in cinematography, working on projects for broadcast TV, online shows and advertising.

Mikey and his wife, Beth, are based in Southampton, UK. He loves being outdoors, climbing rocks, trees, mountains. He also grows vegetables and keeps bees!

We’ve developed some resources to go alongside the episodes. You could use these on your own, with a friend or in a group.
